Main Menu and Combat UI by David Mereles

Creating the main menu was standard stuff once the buttons and level loading functionality was in place. The real challenge surfaced when it came to the in-game/combat UI. It took a lot of "getters" to be able to grab all the relevant character stats and images to show when a character is selected. Learning how to pause the game state was made easy with Unreal because they give you built in functions for all that but learning how to bring up certain menus based on selected characters or button presses was a fun task. This month I was able to get pretty much everything I wanted to get into the game based on the time given.
